Background on the North Bay Water Recycling Program

As an active member of the North Bay Water Reuse Authority, Napa Sanitation District is participating in a project that is designed to expand the beneficial use of recycled water. By working together through the multi-agency North Bay Water Reuse Authority, the District is obtaining economies of scale, has obtained substantial grant funds and is seeking more. Through this collaborative effort, Napa Sanitation District is making it more cost effective to pursue the expansion of recycled water.

Environmental Document Available: The environmental and engineering portion of this project are being carried out as part of the larger North Bay Water Recycling program. An early step in the environmental studies is development of a Notice of Preparation (NOP), which describes the proposed project in the Milliken-Sarco-Tulocay (MST) area, as well as the projects of the other members located in Sonoma and Marin counties.

Environmental Scoping Meeting Was Held On August 4, 2008, 6:30 PM, Napa Elks Lodge. As part of the regional environmental studies described above that include the proposed MST recycled water project, a scoping meeting was held on August 4, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Napa Elks Lodge at 2840 Soscol Avenue, Napa.
